on vacation

Hey all-
Sitting here just outside of Camden, Maine in a "cabin" that sleeps 14. Looking out over the Atlantic, with the tree in full color. The only thing that would make it better is if I had the XLR here with the top down. Beautiful weather... gorgeous scenery - it just doesn't get much better than this!! I'll post pictures next week after we get back home...

Thanks - tonight we're going out to eat. Can hardly wait to have MAINE LOBSTER. Last night in the Boston airport, we had a Maine Crab roll... WOW! Tomorrow night for dinner, I'm making a Maine Crab & Shrimp Enchiladas. Should be scrumptious!!!

Keeping good company!

I went to a BBQ Saturday that is put on by a friend that runs a business building race cars and street rods.

Crimson Pearl was in some pretty good company!

NICE... the Mustang conv looks like mine, except mine is Sahara Beige ('66). My Dad has a '66 red conv, a red '65 GT coupe and a red '65 GT fastback. Gotta love the first Mustangs!!!

A beautiful November weekend.

October and November are popular months to hold wedding ceremonies here. Not too hot and not too cold. One of the extended family is having hers today ... I am going to run after the 2 yr old so that the parents can have a day out ....

Both Lola and The Truck (yep, that's what we call the Escalade too) are clean so looks like the garage will be closed today -

I love November - it is the calm before the storm of the hustle and bustle of Christmas.

What I am not crazy about is that ALL of the stores are already decked out with decorations ..... there is one live Christmas tree lot that is already open. :xmas: and I haven't even got to eat my turkey yet!

Fabulous weather here today was out for cruise in the vette. Ingrid and i will go this afternoon for a top down ride in the XLR we always in up in the casino. Hope everyone else has a great safe weekend.;)

Woke up this morning to snow, not much just enough to turn the grass white. Should be gone by noon. Time to put the tender on the X, and remove my "Ray Box". Yup got one as soon as we got back last June.

No worries, Madmac..... your Black Beauty is just taking a well-deserved rest .... it seems to be a late Fall this year ... Spring will be here before you know it and you will be back on the road. :rocker: Then you and the Thirsty One will be planning your 'homecoming' ....

Kevin is getting windows tinted Monday or Tuesday on Scarlet-V then after that she will be put away for Winter. Fortunately, we didn't get any of the white stuff yet.

Got out today with the top down everyone that saw us just looked like what is that.:willy_nilly:

Another great day in Colorado, took "Little Bugger" out with the top down and got the tires aired up as the cold weather had reduced the pressure. Supposed to start getting cold again Tuesday.

Interesting, Robert. I did not know that happened to the tires.
Well, soon then, if you move to AZ you might have the reverse problem ... but, wait a minute ... would you be leaving your home in CO or just buying a "snowbird" home? Either way, you win. Good luck.

Now that the upgrades on my home are completed, (four years and $88,000 later) I am free to get out of here for the winters so it will be a "snowbird" home. I was a Florida snowbird for ten years and have now stuck out the winter for 5 years. Time to keep my old joints warm again. Not sure yet if I want a small or large place or just where to buy. I am going to make another trip down to look around better. I someday, as time marches on, may want to be there full time. I like Mesa, seems there are good medical facilities there, also nice resturants. My sister in law has her winter home in Gold Canyon which is also very nice but she drives to Mesa for doctors and groceries.

FR, good luck with the house hunting. The warm weather locations sure sound good with winter approaching. I thought Colorado was a beautiful state and I can see why so many people move there.

Fr you owe an APOLOGY. Referaance your untrue statement in "What does America mean to you"

FR you need to reconsider what you posted in "Whats America mean to you" post 144.

Robert .... have you ever looked at Payson? Beautiful, just beautiful there, a little Colorado-ish..... That would be our AZ choice .... 'year round.

We drove thru Payson going down and coming back, it was beautiful as the Aspen still had their golden leaves where ours had already been blown off. I don't think you would want to spend your winter in Payson as it gets cold and they do have snow, that is what I am trying to get away from. The more I look at homes in Mesa, church and Masonic Lodges the more I am impressed. And of course Dillards, my favorite store, my closets are so full now I do not need to be going to Dillards.:chuckle:chuckle:chuckle. I don't drink, I shop!!!!!
