Still learning about Crimson Pearl 05. What is the black box at the top of the passenger window? About 7"w x 2" d x 2" h. Also, is there anyway to turn off the ACC? I'd rather do my own braking:dunno:

It is the OnStar antenna module. No, you can not turn off the Adaptive Cruise Control.

acc

On my 2006 I can shut off the acc by the engagement switch on the column, or by tapping the brakes. Did I understand the question?:dunno:

Just curious Bruce... if you were to unplug the ACC unit, would it disengage the entire cruise control or just the radar control portion?

I believe he was asking about turning off the Adaptive Cruise and just having regular cruise control. Not possible.

And here I thought that black box was the sensor for the rain sensing wipers!
