Vegas Baby

Ok we will do that, and save money by not staying at the Venetian !:pat:I never win is why I don't gamble! I hate throwing money away when I could have a new outfit or shoes or Bling! :dunno:

Missy,
You can join the MGM players club and they will track your slot play and give you points either towards gifts or discounts off your stay!!

:( Well of course Marc is wanting to find a Marriott, so I am putting it on him. Not sure where a Marriott is along the strip area. But he also said he was not going to stay at the Venetian either, costly and we are doing lots of traveling this year. Packing up right now for St. Thomas for 9 days leaving Monday. But we will look into flights and Hotels today or tomorrow. And Suggestions??:dunno:
Click on the link by my signature for where people are staying. So far Madam and Speedway are at Paris. Cubby has booked us at Monte Carlo. Cubby and Madam both have booked us flying Southwest. :D

Oh! I have way to much to do to get ready for St.Thomas! LIKE my nails , My hair, shopping, packing, to work that hard :(, Duh!!! We can stay wherever our buddies are as far as I am concerned! :D

Krissy ... how about the Bellagio? Next door to the Monte Carlo, and across the street from the Paris? That would give us 3 casinos to terrorize.

I like playing the casino there - and I love their shopping area .... and restaurants.....

Since you don't do a lot of gambling it will give you other things to do ..... :blinzel:

This is normally where we stay its fantastic but they would'nt spring for a comp. I dont believe you will fine a better buffet in Vegas for the price.:blinzel:

The WYNN has the best buffet EVER..... split King Crab wider than your fork ... mmmmm - and every nationality from French to even have prickly pears .... outstanding. Not even the price of a good steakhouse ....
If you know Ray you know that we have tried them ALL! :blinzel:

I am hoping that someone chooses to stay Down Town - I think a night wandering around there would be a lot of fun. :rocker:

But, don't discount The Paris .... the mall between the hotels is a lot of fun .... it's tropical themed .... I LOVE that they have an ABC Store! Brings back those Waikiki memories!

I love the Paris - theyhave the BEST breakfast buffet!!!!!! That's where I'd like to stay, though I may do old Downtown to save a few (hundred) bucks!!
Hmmmm, just a thought, or suggestion, Rich. I know that there are Harrah locations in IL and IN ..... if you are close to one you can go and join their players club before December. Usually they will comp an out of town casino with not much "play" on your card. Or, if you at the least have the card you can call and request a comp hotel. That has worked for me.

Will do - I know I have a Paris Players Card in my stack of cards! :) I can't qualify for the Seniors Discount yet, though...
Just call the marketing dept and give them your number, tell them you're coming in and they will probably give you a room. Have to do it by phone.

Marc can! :laugh:We may look into all you guy's suggestions. We have stayed at the Beligo 2 X's before. Loved it but we can stay somewhere else cheaper. Thanks for all the ideas! ;)

I dont think it will make any difference where you stay we will have so much fun everywhere we go I doubt that we stay in one place that long. ;)

We have never tried Wynn Buffet but you have convinced me that we will this trip. Its hard to believe there is one better than Bellegeo. Have you tried there.

Fred;)

Probably .... we have been to Las Vegas about twice a year since 1974 - so what's that about 60 or so trips? One time I tried to make a list of all the places we have stayed .... couldn't. Many of them are GONE ... blown up ..... and new ones built on the properties. My favorite casino in the 70's was The Hacienda .... and The Landmark .....
My favorite place to eat used to be downtown at The Horse Shoe .... that hotel is still there, but not quite so elite anymore .... haha.
Now I like to eat ANYWHERE - but I like to drink at Harrah's because they still use real glasses. I don't know ... there's just something not right about drinking a spicy Bloody Mary in a plastic cup .. the salt just won't stick! :D

I started out always staying at the Desert Inn in a Cabana out by the pool and loved it, I was out of the noise and still on the ground floor. Then I started staying at the Hilton and found it to be okay. I always loved going there to see the shows, spend time with friends and eat the food. I know you will all have a blast in December.

Why don't you go .... pretty close from your house ... :blinzel:

I stopped flying three years ago, too much hassel for me to fly since I am not able to walk very far and I don't enjoy being almost stripped searched. I don't think I would want to drive in December as we never know what the roads are going to be like going out or coming home. I will just wait for all the pictures all of you will post. :):):)

Yes ... long gone are the days when you took your boarding pass and headed for the gate. This last trip to Chicago though, I finally got it down pat. I only carried one carry-on and my laptop carrier. Put my purse and all of the liquid junk in a baggie inside the carrier. Didn't wear a jacket and had on slip-on shoes. I don't mind any of it except the shoe thing. Those rugs are nasty, and yes I know they provide foot covers, but if you take the time to use them you hold up the whole line and then you have 400 people looking at you like they just drank sour milk.

Ahhh, whatever happened to the good ol' days? :squint:
