Welcome to the Cadillac XLR Forums!

Mid-Ohio August 3-5 2012

I think we have all bases covered for the trip. see you all soon.

You guys always have the best time ... I wish I could've worked in a MidWest trip for this or BobFest .... Hopefully, I will still get to come out in the Fall ... Have fun .... love you guys ....

Setting up camp

Marc & Kris are setting up camp in the infield this morning. Once you enter the track, follow the main road towards the infield (make sure & have your infield parking pass on your mirror or dash), drive over the bridge & turn on the road beside the Corvette Corral (on your right). Follow that road all the way to the end where you will see the Cadillac XLR parking sign, tents & flags on your right.

3 Cadillac CTS-Vs

Marc just informed me That there will be 3 Cadillacs racing @ Mid-Ohio this weekend, Jordan Taylor is driving the 3rd car!

Could it possibly mean some 'ALMS' testing is going on??:dunno:

Devin and I hooked up with Schooley and his dad (also Schooley - how weird). We met at Steak 'n Shake in Elkhart, IN and would you believe that when we left, after lunch, there was a Black XLR-V (with black powdercoated wheels) there in the parking lot too. What are the odds, huh?
We continued our trip to Mid Ohio and found Marc & Chrissy at the coral. Didn't see much, as most things were closing up... we'll check it all out tomorrow.
Great seeing our XLR friends - had a great dinner with the gang. Can't wait to see Bruce/Kathy tomorrow morning, as well as Cubby/Supa.

I will try to post some pictures tomorrow night.

GO TEAM CADILLAC!! (I think I heard Cadillac qualified for 3rd, 4th and 5th starting positions.).

Devin & I made it home this afternoon (thanks for the escort half of the way, Cubby).

We both had a great time this weekend. Thank you Marc, for setting up the coral, it looked fantastic. It's always a great time to get together with the mm's. It was very nice meeting Sschooley's dad - very nice gentleman; is Steve adopted? :chuckle

I will post some pictures later tonight.

Great job on the dash plaques, Bruce - they turned out great!

See many of you in two weeks up at Road America.

Once again, thank you to all involved!!

The ticket package (and perqs) was fantastic, the "camp", the dash plaques and especially the friends - both old and new made this another special XLR weekend.

Hope to see you all soon

PJ & I are back in Carmel, IN for a few days of shopping.

Sorry I had to peel off from the group this morning, but the marketing folks wanted me there early for the parade lap. PJ went too! The track was so wet only pro drivers were allowed behind the wheel and our driver made sure to find every slick spot :chuckle. By the time we got back, the WC race had already started so we just stayed at the Cadillac VIP deck. Sorry we didn't get a chance to say goodbye to everyone.

Thanks to all who came out. Camp Toffolo was outstanding as usual. The dash plaques were beautiful, thanks Bruce. And unionrunner introduced me to my new favorite beer. Good friends, good times, almost decent weather - my third time to Mid-Ohio and this time nothing broke... on my car.

I have a couple pictures of Johnny O'Connell in Camp Toffolo that I'll try to post tomorrow. I'll see most of you again on the 25th.

Easy to see you guys all were havin' a kick-ass, kick-back fun time .... would have loved to be among it all ...
Where's the "big chair?' and I haven't seen a pic of Diana ... didn't she come with Josh? :)
So glad you had a great weekend ... thanks for the pix ...:grouphug:

Great times, great friends as usual. Thanks to all for the help in taking down camp in the downpour. Or should I say what was left of it after the storms Saturday nite. Camp lost 2 pop up canopies. Guess I will have to get bigger and stronger ones. Again thanks to all. Till next year.

P.S. I go along with what Chicago Dave thinks, Schooley is adopted after meeting his Dad.

So ... you guys got some much needed rain? That's a good thing to hear - sorry it messed up your camp gear though ..... I don't know who the guy in the red shirt is, but I'm going to guess it isn't John Stamos as Krissy and Mar are looking like they could use a drink :D ... Glad to hear everyone had a great time ... always wish I was with the MM's -

You forgot what I looked like already :laugh: The other 'red shirt' guy is Cadillac Race Driver, Johnny O'connell. He stopped by after Saturday race to chat with us all and pick his car up. (He parked his CTS-V Sedan in our car corral.)

Sounds like you all had a great time except for the storms that rolled though. Thx for posting the pictures also. Have great day all until we chat again!
